UNDP Expression of Interest (EOI)

Provision of Cash Disbursement through  E-transfer/ Cash Distribution Transfer

UNDP Pacific Office in Fiji invites interested companies/service provider/suppliers/ financial instutitions to apply for the provision of cash disbursement through  e-transfer/ Cash Distribution transfer to the selected beneficiaries in Fiji, Solomon Islands and  other Pacific island countries.

 

Purpose of the EOI

 

An EOI is a notice used to assess interest in an upcoming solicitation for goods, works or services.  Interested companies/service provider/suppliers/contractors  are invited to express interest and provide information about their products, services, resources, qualifications and experience. UNDP Fiji will develop a data base, that may be further subjected to detailed review of eligibility and qualification at the time of solicitation through an open competitive process.

 

Background

 

The participating UN Agencies in Fiji and Solomon Islands  are identifying a payment services providers (thereafter PSPs), such as banks, micro-finance institutions, money transfer companies, post offices, and or trusted payment broker network and enter into a contract to utilize the services of such PSPs for effective disbursement to “ payees” like (i) suppliers of goods and services procured at field locations to implement UN programme activities, and (ii) individuals participating in programme activities ( i.e. training activities, wokshops, surveys, etc)  at a competitive market rate for physical cash distribution as deems cost-effective and convenient to the beneficiary as well as UN agencies.

 

For disbursement, UN agencies project will arrange, where possible, a number of distribution points/booth to ensure that participants  do not incur much cost and time for collection of cash.

 

EOI Format and submittals

 

Interested companies/service provider/suppliers/financial institutions must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochure, description goods, services of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions), licensed to provide such services, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Companies/Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. In summary the minimum information should be submitted:

 

  1. A cover letter with the organization’s letterhead/logo, signed by its authorized official

  2. General organizational capacity, with specific focus on capacity in the field of payment processing

  3. Experience of the organization

  4. Demonstrated specific experience related to payment processing

  5. References of client organizations who were serviced by the organization manifesting provision of services

  6. Business brochure

  7. The submission must have clear “X” to the category where you have partnership with other financial institution or have branches that your company can work with to deliver the services.

 

There will not be any reimbursement for any costs incurred by the organizations in the preparation or submission of their respective EOI documents. Submission and development costs are expected to be borne by the respective organizations

EOI from suppliers failing to provide the requested information will be disregarded. Invitations to bid and any subsequent purchase order will be issued in accordance with the rule and procedures of UNDP
