| Overview : [ENGLISH BELOW] Dự án “Bảo tồn các khu đất ngập nước quan trọng và sinh cảnh liên kết” (Dự án Đất ngập nước) do Quỹ Môi trường toàn cầu (GEF) tài trợ thông qua Chương trình phát triển Liên hiệp quốc (UNDP) trong 04 năm từ 2015-2018. Dự án sẽ hỗ trợ kỹ thuật cho Chính phủ Việt Nam trong việc thiết lập các khu bảo tồn đất ngập nước mới, xây dựng năng lực hệ thống, thể chế và vận hành để quản lý có hiệu quả và giảm thiểu các mối đe dọa đối với đa dạng sinh học từ các sinh cảnh liên kết. Dự án gồm 2 hợp phần chính Hợp phần 1: Các khu bảo tồn đất ngập nước mới và năng lực cho việc quản lý hiệu quả các khu bảo tồn này được hình thành và phát triển Hợp phần 2: Tính toàn vẹn của các khu bảo tồn đất ngập nước được bảo đảm trong cảnh quan kết nối vùng đất ngập nước rộng hơn Dự án mong muốn tìm kiếm 01 đơn vị cung cấp xuồng/cano hỗ trợ tuần tra, giám sát Khu bảo tồn ĐNN Tam Giang - Cầu Hai. The project provides technical assistance to the Government of Vietnam (GoV) to establish new wetland protected areas and to create capacities for their effective management to mitigate existing and emerging threats from connected landscapes. Project component are as follows: - Component 1 of the project will address gaps and weaknesses in the current PA system, institutional capacity and the current policy and regulatory framework in relation to wetlands conservation.
- Component 2 seeks to ensure that the wetland values are better understood and appreciated and that the principles and know-how for conservation and sustainable use of wetlands are enshrined both at the local level, by strengthening incentives for conservation-friendly livelihoods, and at the landscape level, by promoting wetlands-friendly land use and development planning.
