Overview : UNDP Vietnam is seeking for 01 National consultant (MT3) on Transportation and Climate Change Adaptation (Ref: T210712) Objectives: The main objective of the consultancy is to support MOT to develop a report on identifying and evaluating climate change risks and vulnerabilities and training materials, conduct capacity building, and provide on-the-job mentoring to MOT officials to facilitate the successfully implementation Viet Nam’s NAP. The consultant is expected to work with experts from MONRE, MPI, MARD, and MOH, as well as a range of international and national consultants, who are also mobilized by MOT and UNDP. The national consultant will more specifically be responsible to: - Lead the development of a report on identifying and evaluating climate change risks and vulnerabilities of sectors under the MOT;
- Lead the development of guidelines and reporting templates to identify and evaluate the potential climate change impacts, risks, and vulnerabilities for the transport sector and training materials for the transport subsector;
- Conduct up to 5 capacity building trainings with MOT officers, including on standardized guidelines on climate change impact assessment; and
- Act as the main focal point for the entire transport sector and provide sector-specific technical inputs to MONRE to develop the technical NAP report as well as to MPI to enhance the climate change budget integration/tagging, as well as for the monitoring and evaluation of adaptation.
