| Overview : UNDP Vietnam is seeking for 01 International Consultant to support media coverage and communication of the International Conference on Sustainable Ocean Economy and Climate Change Adaptation (Ref: T211007) Objectives: The objective of this service is that the consultant will provide support and work with VASI, related agencies of MONRE and other related Ministries and UNDP on media coverage and communication for the Conference from October 2021 until the successful organization of this important Conference. - Develop a detailed plan on media coverage and communications and plan to invite key international media representatives to the Conference
- Analyse key topics and contents of the main themes covered by international ocean conferences and events, then propose unique media contents for this Conference
- Stay abreast of media interest and handle responses and inputs from UNDP, MONRE and Norway for international media agencies in and outside Viet Nam
- Write up blogs and Op-eds for each of the key topics: Climate-Related Security Risks, Ocean Economy, Marine Plastics, Renewable Energy, Coastal Tourism and Fisheries under Climate Change impacts and the Covid-19 ‘new normal’, and follow up to the COP26 agenda and outcomes.
- Develop press releases for high-level meetings before the Conference and for the Conference itself.
- Provide quality assurance and supervision of media coverage, communication activities, visibility issues
- Prepare for interviews of UNDP senior management team with media agencies before and during the Conference, including set of questions and answers
- Prepare social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, etc. for UNDP to post before and during the Conference).
- Provide a summary of international media coverage on the Conference.
