| Overview :
1.The United Nations and its various agencies, funds and programme in Rwanda conduct a high volume of travel business through official and personal travels undertaken by their staff members, experts, visitors and missions etc.
2. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on behalf of all United Nations Agencies in Rwanda, is conducting a solicitation process in accordance with UN International Procurement practice for travel services. The comprehensive travel services should consist of a full range of Air travel facilities, establishment of one office within the UNDP premises in Kigali. The other services that may be required from the travel agency are: airport pick-up and drop; hotel accommodations; car rentals; ticket delivery; visa and passport applications; assistance in emergency travel and medical evacuation etc. it is expected that a Long Term Agreement of two years renewable subject to satisfactory performance will be signed with the successful contractors.
3. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to select at least two (2) legitimately registered travel service providers through a formal bidding process to handle and share the full range of travel services for the UN system in Rwanda. Furthermore, the Airlines companies registered in Rwanda are strongly advised to apply to this RFP since the UN Agencies may find useful to sign as much as possible a Tripartite contract that may involve an Airline, a Travel Agency, and UN.
