Overview :

The Association of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Gambia (TANGO) and its  membership of over 80 national and International NGOs work towards improving the living standards of the poor and the marginalized Gambians by supporting poverty reduction interventions as outlined in the national policies and plans such as the National Development Plan (NDP). Such interventions include areas such as health, education, women’s empowerment, agriculture, small enterprise development projects, peace building activities, and the promotion of human rights and good governance. To strategically contribute to the national poverty reduction efforts and consolidation of democracy and peace in COVID-19 context, TANGO is preparing a five-year strategic plan 2021-2025 which will set the long-term direction for the implementation of its mandate. At the same time, TANGO is expected to engage and share information with its members and partners through a responsive and user-friendly website and social media platforms.
