UNDP Uzbekistan project “Enhancing the resilience of the local population and promoting green, inclusive development of the most vulnerable communities in the Aral Sea region” has been launched in 2022 and is being implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan in the partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The project aims to apply a systematic approach to reduce/mitigate environmental and socio-economic problems of target districts of Karakalpakstan in order to increase the resilience of the local population and promote green, inclusive development of the most affected communities in the region, as well as scaling up green approaches and solutions.
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and in close collaboration with Environment and Climate Action Cluster of the UNDP Country Office, and the project team, the Contractor(s) will be responsible for (Lot 1) reconstruction of a desalination plant and construction of water supply networks in the village Kuralpa, SSG Kuralpa, Karauzyak district and (Lot 2) reconstruction of a desalination plant and construction of water supply networks in the village in the village Ak-kudyk, SSG Kokuzek, Kegeyli district; both sites are located in Karakalpakstan.
