Conduct a Communications Campaign on Integrated Plant Nutrient Management System.
Integrated plant nutrient management system (IPNMS) is a holistic approach to supply plant nutrient through inorganic, organic and biological resources so as to sustain optimum yields, improve or maintain the soil chemical and physical properties and provide crop nutrition packages which are technically sound, economically attractive, practically feasible and environmentally safe. In the long run IPNS results in improved soil fertility, increased production and productivity. Educating farmers on the benefits and methodology of using Integrated Plant Nutrient Management, is vital to ensuring that this sustainable method of farming is implemented and yields satisfactory results for the future sustainability of farming practices
OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE OF INTERVENTION
The service provider will undertake the producing of accurate, applicable, trilingual, and clear following communications products to the smallholder farmers in Sri Lanka, especially in Mahaweli region.
· 20 second and 10 second radio advertisements in Sinhala and Tamil, to obtain slots and transmit the advertisement in 1 state and 1 private radio stations (Sinhala and Tamil) during times with the optimal viewership for the duration of 10 days. · Design a bilingual A2 size poster, print 560 copies and deliver them to 483 Agrarian Service Centers around the country and provide the rest of the posters to the UNCG · Create 15 feet x 10 feet square type single side display hoardings (8 Numbers) that will last for 1 year period, using existing billboard structures and place them in Mahaweli region · Placing one page colour Sinhala and Tamil Newspaper advertisements in weekend Sinhala and Tamil newspapers.
