Introduction

RFQ/GEF 7 Chem/2510/84 - Supply, Delivery and Commissioning of Laboratory Equipment

This project, titled "Integrated Management and Environmentally Sound Disposal of POPs Pesticides in the Agriculture Sector and Mercury and Waste in the Healthcare Sector in Sri Lanka," is designed to strengthen the country’s policy, regulatory, and institutional frameworks for managing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), mercury, and other Chemicals of Concern (CoCs).

One of the objectives of the project is to establish a centralized information-sharing system for chemical management in Sri Lanka, complemented by the upgrading of laboratory equipment to support effective regulatory decision-making. Three key agencies have been identified to play pivotal roles in managing CoCs in Sri Lanka:

As an essential component of this initiative, the procurement process will focus on the Supply, Delivery and Commissioning of Laboratory Equipment.

This procurement notice includes nine separate Lots:

LOT 1 - Portable Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR)
LOT 2 - Portable Mercury Analyzer
LOT 3 - Rotary Evaporator with a Vacuum Pump
LOT 4 - Five Decimal Analytical Balance
LOT 5 - Mechanical Bottle Shaker
LOT 6 - Nitrogen Blower
LOT 7 -  Vortex Mixer
LOT 8 -  Microwave Digestion Unit
LOT 9 Fume Hood

Bidders are invited to submit proposals for eligible Lot/s, depending on their interest and capacity. Please clearly indicate the Lot number(s) in your bid submission.
