Introduction

Request for Proposal (RFP): Anticipatory, Adaptive and Agile Urban Governance Capacity Building and Training Service support to UNDP Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific

Agency/Project Name: UNDP BRH/ Governance and Peacebuilding Unit

Country of assignment: Homebased with travel required to Bangkok, Thailand

Duration: January - May 2026

Asia-Pacific, home to over half the world’s urban population, faces urgent challenges as cities shift from managing growth to navigating complex transformations amid climate shocks, inequality, and digital change. UNDP promotes future-ready governance built on Anticipatory, Adaptive and Agile (AAA) approaches - anticipating risks, adapting strategies, and acting swiftly using inclusive, participatory methods and digital tools. This model departs from rigid, siloed governance, fostering resilience and innovation. Under its 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, UNDP seeks a provider to design and deliver an online AAA Urban Governance training for at least 10 cities, strengthening collaborative leadership and systemic change for sustainable urban futures.
