Under the direct supervision of the UNDP’s Justice and Security Sector Leader and Sustainable Growth Sector Leader, the Gender Analyst will contribute to the implementation of the UNDP Gender Equality Seal in private and public sector enterprises/institutions, funded by UNDP CO BiH. To that end, the incumbent will perform the following tasks: 1. Prepare, in close cooperation and consultation with the UNDP Gender Expert, the Action Plan for the implementation and monitoring of the Action Plan for improvement following the completion of the self-assessment process by the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH 2. Support the implementation of the GEMS standards in the private sector in accordance with the prescribed GEMS methodology; 3. Prepare the plan for advocacy, media campaign, and communication approaches for private and public sector enterprises/institutions participating in the GES process. Specifically, the incumbent will be expected to perform the following tasks: Task 1: Prepare the Action Plan for improvement following the completion of the self-assessment process by the HJPC - Provide continuous advice and technical assistance in the implementation of GES standards in the HJPC with a focus on the self-assessment process; - In coordination with the UNDP Gender Expert, prepare a draft Action Plan for the implementation and monitoring of the gender equality action plan for improvement; - Support the GEA in the use of the GES online platform; - Support day-to-day interaction between the GEA, participatory public and private sector institutions; - Provide support to UNDP team on all issues related to the GES process as needed.
Task 2: Support the implementation of the GEMS standards in the private sector in accordance with the prescribed GES methodology - Provide continuous technical and expert assistance to the GEA in the implementation of GEMS standards in the private sector; - In close collaboration with the UNDP`s National Consultant for GEMS for the Private Sector, support capacity building of the key institutional partners and the operating functioning of the multi-stakeholder Committee that will be led by the GEA and in charge of the development of Gender Equality Management System (GEMS); - Provide support to the Committee for the final endorsement of GEMS customized to the BiH context; - Support day-to-day interaction between the GEA, UNDP, and participatory public and private sector institutions. Task 3: Prepare the plan for advocacy, media campaign, and communication approaches for private and public sector institutions participating in the GES process. - Carry out preparatory work for the organization of public events related to GES processes in private and public sectors; - Produce media content, and articles to promote communication and visibility of the GES initiative through UNDP and GES websites; - Provide inputs and technical support for a media campaign on the GES initiative; - In cooperation with UNDP team, support the development of plans for advocacy and communication approaches that are of high relevance for the GES context of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Important remark: During the implementation of the envisaged tasks, the Incumbent will closely collaborate with the GEA, which includes frequent visits and work in the GEA premises in Sarajevo.
