Introduction
Automation of e-Library functions and SLJI Database of laws, policy documents, case laws.
Sri Lanka’s justice sector is undergoing a major digital modernization to improve efficiency, transparency, and consistency in judicial processes. Access to current legislation and case law remains fragmented and difficult, limiting effective legal research and decision-making. To address this, the Sri Lanka Judges’ Institute (SLJI), together with the JURE project, is developing a centralized digital legal repository as part of a new e-library platform. This system will provide seamless access to comprehensive legal resources to support judicial officers, attorneys, law students, and other justice stakeholders.
The initiative aligns with broader justice sector goals of promoting transparency, consistency, and efficiency through digital innovation. The selected Service Provider will design and implement a robust, scalable online content repository, including full content migration, advanced search, user-friendly interfaces, and workflow management, as outlined in the TOR, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
Please refer to the TOR for details.
