Overview :

In 2015 The United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) started implementing projects on “access to justice and community security” these projects were designed to assist Jordan in honouring its commitment to the 2030 agenda. Under target 16.6 “Develop effective, accountable and transparent institutions at all levels”. UNDP is currently working on developing a monetary policy that will contribute to combating corruption and empowering citizens to oversee and monitor the distribution of revenues in four different aspects: I Effective tax administration, II Disclosure of assets, III Information sharing and transparency, IV The parliament role in public finance.

As part of combating corruption in Jordan, the Financial Disclosure Department “FDD” was established under the Ministry of Justice. The FDD is one of the main anticorruption governmental bodies with direct responsibilities to combat illicit fortune, based on its fictional statement the prime minister, all ministers, members of the parliament and the Senet, judges, head of the central bank, head of the royal bureau , and many more senior governmental officials; to provide financial disclosures, in accordance with the date set by the law.  In this context, assessing and capacitating the FDD will contribute to enhancing accountability, transparency and Integrity in a key anti-corruption government institution.
