| Overview : UNDP is working on developing, testing, and piloting a locally developed solution that is aimed at addressing both the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19, to improving hand washing and promoting hygiene practices at various levels, e.g. household, institutional (health and education) and community development centers. The Supplier will report to the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, under the supervision of the Programme Head, and in close collaboration with other Country Office’s programme and operation team members. S/he will be responsible of carrying out all the activities related to the design and innovation of a local handwashing prototype and testing within the CO’s COVID-19 socio economic recovery project as a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). S/he will be responsible for the entire process of the prototype development, including design, test and installations at selected pilot sites, until the final delivery of ready -made units to be installed at selected sites. S/he will also provide basic training and maintenance at the sites and where feasible work with institutional stakeholders to ensure sustainability beyond the installations. These services are immediately urgently required as a local solution; thus, UNDP will not consider ‘untested capacity’ and or facilitate operational standards including meeting local requirements for design, testing and piloting, in this type of services |
