| Overview : As the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic continues in Nigeria, the need for essential medical supplies and PPE increases with the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. On 16 February, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will host a handover event for the procurement of $14m worth of medical and other COVID-19 related supplies to the Government of Nigeria at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. In order to effectively capture the handover, the UNDP Nigeria requires the support of a third-party video production agency to produce a short film of the event to use for visibility. - The Assignment - Specific tasks for the service provider
Under the direct supervision of the Communications Specialist, the service provider will document the official handover of COVID-19 materials. Activities include but are not limited to: - Accompany UNDP Nigeria team to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to capture video footage and photographs of the official handover of COVID-19 prevention supplies
- Interviews of key stakeholders, equipment handover and key highlights from the event to be included in footage
- Capture and produce high-quality photos of the event
- Produce a maximum 2-minute video acceptable for social media dissemination and promotion
- Provide social media ads/promotion placement on social media platforms to drive traffic and increase views on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube
- Final deliverables
- Produce a 2-minute video of the handover of COVID-19 prevention supplies submitted to UNDP Nigeria the same day of the event
- Produce a gallery of final edited photos (20) submitted to UNDP Nigeria the same day of the event
- Social media ads/promotion placement on social media platforms to drive traffic and increase views on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube
- Required Qualifications and Experience of the Service Provider
The service provider will be required to have the following: - More than 5 years’ experience working in similar field
- Extensive experience in video production and photography for international organizations with the aim of reaching both local and international audiences
- Experience in working with UN agencies and other international organizations
- Excellent technical capacities (state of the art filming equipment) to ensure smooth and high-quality production
