| Overview : Within the framework of the Project Strengthening the Cuban Marine Meteorological System (Marine Surveillance), UNDP CUBA invites interested legally constituted entities to file their Expression of Interest to participate in a Vendor Selection Process for the following services: Transfer of technologies, knowledge and skills to detect oil slicks at sea, also performing studies on ocean wave fields behavior, ocean currents and wind fields based on the processing of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images generated by Earth Observation satellites, as well as the provision of Hi Res SAR satellite images . The general objective of this project is to strengthen the Cuban Marine Meteorological System through the implementation of SAR data processing tools to enhance the National Weather Forecasting System. |
