Overview :

The general objective of the Consultancy is to prepare the National Report on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will form the basis for the process of the Voluntary National Review (VNR) of the SDGs of São Tomé and Príncipe.

The consultant will support and advise the Government and UNDP/RCO in leading an inclusive process for the preparation of the National Report, including obtaining the necessary data, organizing meetings, involving stakeholders and consultations.

In specific terms the scope of the work includes the collection of information and writing of the texts relating to:

  • Development context of São Tomé and Príncipe;
  • Facilitating policy and environment/ elements for achieving the SDGs;
  • Situation of the integration of the SDGs into the National Development Plans;
  • Progress Tracking: status, follow-up challenges;
  • Implementation: Opportunities and Challenges;
  • Recommendation on the way forward;

All materials necessary for consulting (e.g. laptop) must be provided by the selected candidate.

The trips to the field for various districts and/or RAP, necessary for community consultations, will be supported by the UN in São Tomé.
