| Overview : UNDP is seeking for 02 National Consultants to provide National professional Services supporting the general statistics office in capacity building of estimating and disseminating national and provincial Human Development Index (HDI). (Ref: L211006) 1. General Objective Improve the quality and timely publication of statistics on the Human Development Index and its components to provide information for development planning and policy formulation. 2. Specific Objective - GSO identifies data sources and masters the best methods for calculating/estimating HDI at the local level, especially in estimating the income component index (GNI) and methods ensure that estimates at the local level can be used to make meaningful comparisons across localities in Vietnam.
- Through cooperation with the Human Development Reporting Office of UNDP, the GSO has a better understanding of the data sources on Vietnam that UNDP HDRO uses in Human Development Reports, and has a better grasp of estimation methods to ensure international comparability, promote the use of official statistics of Vietnam in databases and Human Development Reports of UNDP.
