| Overview : REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS F-SURE KARAMOJA PROJECT AWARENESS ON LANDUSE RIGHTS The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) invites applications/proposals from registered Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in Karamoja Region and have experience with land laws and land user rights and how they apply to the Karamoja region, particularly focusing on the project area of the Fostering Sustainability and Resilience for Food Security in the Karamoja Region. This includes Kotido, Kaabong, Karenga, Nakapiripirit, Moroto and Nabilatuk Districts. This call for proposals is meant create awareness on land user rights and responsibilities, to ensure that community action enhance ecosystem services, adopt sustainable land management practices, and make it possible for achievement of sustainable food security in the Karamoja Region. Priority will be given to proposals that will describe how the NGO will engage with communities to: • Create awareness on their rights of access, use and control of land resources; their responsibilities regarding Integrated Natural Resources Management (INRM), and equitable food security assurance. • Contribute to reversal of land degradation, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and a reduction of climate change emissions.
