eTendering guide
Overview :

In relation to the subject of this invitation, UNDP Mozambique is hereby requesting eligible entities, legally constituted to exercise commercial activity, under the laws of the republic of Mozambique, to submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) and also Suppliers Pre-Qualification process for the next 12 months, for the provision of various goods, services and civil works to UNDP Mozambique Country Office.

This EOI is expected to support the upcoming UNDPs Programmatic roll-out in the Sofala and Cabo Delgado Provinces, for which eligible bidders from these provinces are strongly encouraged to apply, in order to benefit from business opportunities that will arise. Nonetheless, all other bidders across the country are also eligible as UNDP has other programmatic activities in other provinces.

The process will be conducted through UNDP’s corporate electronic sourcing tool (eTendering) and UNDP will provide training in Maputo, Beira and Cabo Delgado, to ensure bidders are fully prepared to use this tool, in accordance with training schedule below:

  1. EOI Launch – 23/12/2021
  2. Response to clarifications – from 05/01/2022 to 17/01/2022
  3. Southern Region eTendering Training – 18/01/2022 & 19/01/2022
  4. Centre region eTendering Training – 21/01/2022 & 24/01/2022
  5. Northern regions eTendering Training – 26/01/2022 & 27/01/2022
  6. EOI deadline for submission – 31/01/2022

UNDP will assign additional points for entities that have envisioned and/or are implementing actions to reduce their climate and environmental footprint within their supply chain. This is aligned with the UNDP Sustainable Procurement[1] approach, the recommendations of COP 26 in Glasgow and UNDP’s corporate efforts to take action towards reducing carbon footprint and the 2030 Agenda.

[1] Sustainable procurement: A process whereby organizations meet their needs for goods, works and utilities in a way that achieves value for money on a whole life basis in terms of generating benefits not only to the organization, but also to society and the economy, whilst minimizing damage to the environment”.
