Overview :

Dear Sir / Madam:

We kindly request you to submit your Proposal for Training Service Provider for Entrepreneurship, Agri-business, Forklift and Tractor Operator Training

Context of the Requirement:

The main objective of capacity building and training activities is to create, enhance and develop constituent’s capacity at country level to design, implement and supervise social protection and social security schemes. The overall objective of these trainings is to build the capacities and improving skills in creating and running businesses towards improving their economic conditions and contributing to the creation of prosperous societies around Kenya and the world.

The training consultancy firm will work hand in hand with the UNDP Kenya Environment Unit Team leader and Toyota Kenya Foundation Registered Trustees (TKRFT) project coordinator.

Facilities to be Provided by UNDP (i.e., must be excluded from Price Proposal):

UNDP Kenya Environment Unit and Toyota Kenya Foundation Registered Trustees (TKRFT) will arrange for the following:

  1. Training Venue
  2. 0.5 Acre of Empty Land
  3. Forklift
  4. Tractor for the Trainings

Brief Description of the Required Services:

The Trainings will be in Four counties, Mombasa, Busia, Meru, Machakos and Uasin Gishu will be specifically designed for low-income women (70%) and men (30%) running small businesses, agri-business training. An additional training will be for entrepreneurship training for students from Machakos Institute for the Blind in Machakos County.

Course:

  1. Entrepreneurship Training 
  2. Agri-business Training 
  3. Tractor Operator Training 
  4. Forklift Operator Training

Training Service.

To develop a content/guideline for the training.

  1. Prepare a training delivery schedule with full itinerary of the events. 
  2. Prepare power-point and necessary handouts for the participants based on the approved training manual in English. 
  3. Select resource persons to deliver the training sessions. 
  4. Prepare and submit the training report for the program with photographs of the participants. 
  5. Submit the final training documents (manual and power point slides, group work exercise etc.) and documentation. 

Location of training:

Five (5) counties:

  1. Mombasa
  2. Busia
  3. Meru 
  4. Machakos
  5. Uasin Gishu

List and Description of Expected Outputs to be Delivered:

The main deliverables under this consultancy are specified below: 

  1. An inception report indicating how the consultancy firm intends to carry out the trainings. A draft work plan outlining the timelines, detailed methodology of the trainings, course outlines, course content and training handouts.
  2. First draft of the training progress report to be submitted after completing trainings in the first two counties. Should include compiled participants photographs and attendance registers.
  3. Final report of the trainings, compiled participants photographs, attendance register, Post evaluation training analysis, PowerPoint presentation highlighting the key insights.

In line with the above-mentioned key deliverables, the consultancy firm has the following roles and responsibilities in delivering on trainings of Entrepreneurship, Agri-business, Forklift and Tractor Operator Training. The service provider is expected to develop training content, deliver on the training on Entrepreneurship and Agri-business. For Forklift and Tractor Operator Training.

Your Proposal must be expressed in the English, and valid for a minimum period of 120 days.
