Overview : The Civil Society Democratic Governance Facility (Amkeni Wakenya) is a civil society strengthening project of UNDP established in 2008 to provide coordinated technical and financial support to non-state actors working on democratic governance in Kenya. Amkeni Wakenya invites interested and eligible non-state actors including NGOs, FBOs, Academic Institutions, CBOs to submit proposals for award of grants in a programme entitled “ENHANCED ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR THE POOR AND MARGINALISED COMMUNITIES”. The project is to be implemented in Five urban counties of Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Mombasa and Nairobi well as Seven rural counties of Isiolo, Wajir, Mandera, Garissa, Lamu, Tana River, and Marsabit counties. ALL Proposals and supporting documents must be submitted to UNDP Kenya ONLY through bids.ke@undp.org (strictly before deadline) with the email Subject Matter clearly indicated as “CALL 9 - ENHANCED ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR THE POOR AND MARGINALISED COMMUNITIES IN KENYA”. The deadline for the submission of Proposal Applications is on 25th May 2023, 4:30pm Kenyan time. COS not funded before by UNDP Amkeni Wakenya Facility are Highly encouraged to apply.
