Introduction :

INFORM Risk and INFORM Climate Change support long-term analysis of systemic and near-term risk, however, are generally not considered suitable for assessing risks emerging within the coming weeks and months. In recent years, the multilateral system has become more aware and focused on the importance of anticipatory and early action. The volume and speed of available information sources to support humanitarian early warning is increasing exponentially. However, there are still several challenges that prevent us from turning this information into better decisions that can reduce the occurrence and severity of crises.

An extensive literature review and consultations with INFORM Partners indicated there was a clear need for open, aggregated, multi-hazard early warning information that was easy to use for decision making over a shorter time frame. To address these needs, the INFORM Partnership proposed the development of INFORM Warning - an open system to aggregate and present quantified information to support crisis preparedness and anticipatory action.

UNDP is seeking a qualified service provider to design, develop and deliver the Web Platform and its component features and modules and provide expert technical capacity to support the development of early warning methodologies that will be hosted on the platform.

Interested suppliers must submit their offer directly in the system as instructed in the solicitation document, following the instructions in the available user guide.
