[SCOPE OF TENDER]


The objectives of the tender is to;

  1. Map the capacities of the women and their existing initiatives to incorporate and enhance the use of efficient energy technologies in the existing businesses. 
  2. Map beneficiary needs post participation in the energy and entrepreneurship workshop and recommend specified tools and starter kits customized for each group. 
  3. Provide customized one on one support to the groups to help grow their businesses. 

The firm will be responsible for conducting an analysis of the enterprises and assisting the businesswomen in strengthening their businesses to enhance sustainability. The scope of work will therefore include:

  • Map existing enterprises by the women’s groups and identify opportunities for enhancing their existing activities through use of improved energy or more efficient energy technologies.
  • Review and analyze project ideas to identify areas of improvement.
  • Conducting one-on-one consultations with the beneficiaries to understand their capacities (technical/ managerial/ business/ marketing), challenges, and available resources.
  • Collaborate with the beneficiaries to adjust their project plans, strategies, and activities for successful implementation while monitoring progress and providing feedback to adjust support strategies.  This may include monitoring their progress, providing feedback, and adjusting support strategies as needed for successful implementation.
  • Support women's groups in developing effective marketing plans, identifying target markets, and implementing business plans.   This includes providing continued guidance on financial management practices, including budgeting, bookkeeping, cash flow management, development of effective marketing plans, identification of target markets, and implementation of targeted sales strategies.
  • Identify suitable industry experts and mentors relevant to each of the projects and link the beneficiaries with the experts.
  • Facilitate mentorship sessions and knowledge sharing between the beneficiaries and industry experts.
  • Identify potential challenges and risks in project implementation and suggesting mitigation strategies. This includes providing ongoing guidance and support to address challenges and obstacles faced by businesswomen in their day-to-day operations.
  • Advise on potential collaboration opportunities, partnerships, and stakeholders to engage to increase the success of the innovation challenge initiatives. 
  • Assist beneficiaries to develop sustainability plans or business strategies that outline post-implementation strategies for long-term success.
