Overview : The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nation’s global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP Uganda Country office has been leading in supporting development efforts based on the Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) and United Nations Development Assistance Frame work (UNDAF). Within this assistance framework, UNDP Uganda Country Office supports the Government and other non-state actors fulfill their mandate in areas such as poverty reduction, achieving MDGS, reduced risk and impact of natural disasters and assistance in facilitating development. UNDP Uganda Country office achieves these goals by consolidating on knowledge and experience sharing, and by advocating for effective development policies and programmes.
UNDP strategy for managing human resources, which is designed as a People-centered Strategy, takes as its point of departure a simple conviction that human resources is about people and people are the core asset of the UNDP. As with human development, this places the individual and her/his aspirations, responsibilities, values and capabilities at the center of UNDP work.
Objectives of the assignment
The assignment is to provide a shortlist of up to 10 qualified applicants to UNDP depending on the number of applications received. The shortlisting criteria as well as other recruitment considerations will be developed by UNDP Uganda.
Scope and focus of the assignment
The successful recruitment firm will be responsible for the screening process only (long listing and short listing). The UNDP Uganda HR department will maintain oversight over the outsourced recruitment services in order to ensure compliance with UNDP recruitment policies and procedures.
