| Overview : The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) introduced the human development (HD) concept in the maiden issue of its annual flagship publication in 1990 (UNDP, Human Development Report 1990). Zambia has published several NHDRs since 1997, each on a chosen theme of relevance to national development.
The theme for the Zambia Human Development Report (ZHDR) 2014 is Industrialization in Zambia: Poverty Reduction through Wealth and Job Creation for Inclusive Development.
The main objective of the Zambia Human Development Report 2014 is to understand how best a diversified industrial base can became the engine of inclusive and equitable growth, employment creation and a tool for poverty reduction.
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Zambia now seeks to engage a consultant to undertake the design and layout of the 2014 Zambia Human Development Report (ZHDR) in preparation for its printing. |
