Overview : Request for Expression of Interest for national NGO/CSO and bar associations for the delivery of pro bono legal aid in South Sudan Deadline for submission: 30 March 201 - Background
The United Nations Development Programme South Sudan (UNDP) seeks Expression of Interest from suitable, qualified and experienced national NGO/CSOs, bar associations or law firms to express interest in providing pro bono legal aid in South Sudan or act as a Grants Coordinator to administer a small grants mechanism. This mechanism aims at providing grants to South Sudanese civil society organizations and funding to law firms to provide pro bono legal aid representation and services in South Sudan. The purpose of the grants mechanism is to support and strengthen the provision of legal representation in the mobile pilot court at Juba prisons and to address priority cases in the 10 states, such as those involving vulnerable groups and women. - Application Process
All organizations, bar associations and law firms interested in submitting their Expression of Interest to receive grants or act as Grants Coordinator may obtain the detailed documents for submission in person, by email or from the UNDP website as follows: - UNDP Procurement Office in Juba (Ministries Road)
