  1. Background

The United Nations Development Programme seeks Expression of Interests (EoI) from suitably qualified and experienced national Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs).  The successful organisation should have operational capacity and presence in the selected target locations and be able to engage local communities in implementing actions that strengthen inter-communal interdependencies and local peace-making processes in order to safeguard shared resources and interests across conflict fault lines.  These actions will be guided by the findings of a recent UNDP-led community consultation process, which identified a variety of interdependencies ranging from governance, social, economic and cultural forms.
