Overview :

In order to support UN agencies in Sierra Leone and its projects, UNDP Sierra Leone on behalf of other UN agencies is procuring fairly large amounts of fuel and intends to engage suppliers under Long-Term Agreements (LTA). UNDP Sierra Leone envisages entering into LTAs with more than 1 bidder for one year with the option to renew for two additional years, subject to a satisfactory performance evaluation. Below are the list of UN agencies and its projects/development partners:

3.United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

  1. United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)
  2. World Food Programme (WFP)
  3. World Health Organization (WHO)
  4. United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
  5. International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)
  6. United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS)
  7. United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS)
  8. United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS)
  9. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)
  10.  United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UNWOMEN)
  11. United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
  12. United Nations Volunteers (UNV)
  13. World Bank and ADB
  14. United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR)
  15. And any other organization or project appointed by UNDP

The volume in 2015-2017 is expected to remain at comparatively similar levels. This figure is just statistical information and does not entail any commitment for future purchases. The contract shall not impose a minimum guarantee on volume sales on the part of the UN agencies.
