| Overview : The United Nations Development Group (UNDG) connects 31 U.N. agencies and funds (such as UNICEF, the UN Development Programme, UN Women) and is focused on improving the effectiveness of UN development operations at the country level. The UN Development Operations Coordination Office (UN DOCO) serves as the secretariat of the UNDG. Under the guidance of UNDG agencies, UN DOCO supports and develops the UNDG website (www.undg.org) with 2,000 web pages and more than 10,000 documents. The Business Service Center (BSC) is responsible for providing technical support and administration of UNDOCO Website and online assets. The Knowledge and Innovation Team (KIT) manages the content of the key website in consultation with other units within DOCO. Under the UNDG work/strategic plan, the KIT is working on improving the UNDG web content presence to enhance its development coordination efforts, promote sharing of country-level good practices between UNCTs, provide support to the management and accountability activities, and improve system capacity to deploy knowledge. |
