Overview : The National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) has identified the need for Solar Renewable Energy in Rural Gambia to serve as a catalyst for the substitution of the fossill fuel based electricity generation for the Gambia grid by grid-connected solar PV supply of electricity. This project is also in line with the institution's strategic vision of ensuring the safe, effective and efficient provision of affordable nationwide electricity, water and sewerage services. Under the support of the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), NAWEC wishes to explore the feasibility of this project as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). NAWEC thus intends to procure the services of consultancy firm or a team of Consultants led by a Transaction Advisor to assist it through the phases of the PPP project cycle. These terms of reference invite proposals from a transaction advisor representing a team of suitably qualified and experienced financial, technical and legal advisors to help NAWEC to-undertake a comprehensive feasibility study for the Project and its related human capacity development. |
