| Overview : The UNDP Global Centre for Public Service Excellence (GCPSE) and the Regional Hub of Civil Service in Astana (ACSH) are jointly commissioning a comprehensive review on civil service reform. This collaborative effort will inform policy makers in the Hub’s participating countries, and in developing countries generally, on the latest trends in civil service reform and development that will shape the future of the civil service; and provide examples of initiatives that illuminate the way forward. The aim of the review is to identify and present current trends in civil service reform globally and in the context of the regions of CIS, Central Asia, and the Caucasus (hereinafter - the Region), including those which may influence the shape and structure of the civil service in the future; and Provide recommendations to policy-makers in the region, and developing countries generally, on good practices which may be the basis for future public policy interventions in the area.
