The overall purpose of the consultancy is to develop a project document (2017-2021) on “Enhancing Employment and Income opportunities For Youth in Tanzania through Enterprise Development” using the UNDP standard format and the Quality Assurance assessment template to ensure the formulated project document meets UNDP requirements. More specifically the consultancy firm will document and elaborate on interventions which lead to the following project outputs: - Investment profiles and guides developed and promoting investments in selected Regions and Districts
- The transfer and adaptation of technology is enabling eco-friendly production and marketing of quality and safe fish and horticultural products, and generating incremental opportunities for employment and income
- Enhanced agro-processing skills, capacities, and capabilities increasing decent and productive employment
- Delivery of technical and business services are facilitating productivity growth in MSMEs and the vibrancy of start-ups and related value chains
- Linkages to financial institutions enabling access to capital and enabling further investments and sustainable growth and resilience of youth and women enterprises
- Linkages of small holder farmers to processors and to markets using information technology are improving market access for youth and women productive agri-groups and enterprises
- Support franchising market research and identification of key small industries to use licensing and franchising model, develop strategic business plans and providing technical assistance to grow the small industries into franchise brands within and out of Tanzania
