Contracting of Services of a General Contractor

For the construction of a Two-Storey Community Evacuation Center (CEC)

In Barangay Balocawe, Abuyog, Leyte, Philippines

 

The Procurement Team of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites contractors to apply for eligibility and to bid for the construction of a Two-Storey Community Evacuation Center (CEC), an activity under the “Resilience and Preparedness toward Inclusive Development (RAPID) Programme.”

 

The RAPID Programme aims to establish a permanent and safe evacuation center in Barangay Balocawe, Abuyog, Leyte, and provide adequate access to climate-resilient evacuation center to support the long-term preparedness and disaster risk mitigation of the community.

 

In this context, the project requires the services of a contractor to construct a Two-Storey CEC to serve as temporary dwelling for evacuees in times of disaster and calamities in Barangay Balocawe, Abuyog, Leyte.

 

For interested parties, Bid Documents (Eligibility Requirements, Instructions to Bidders and Terms of Reference) may be secured upon payment of a non-refundable amount of US$ 100 or its peso equivalent of PhP 4,977.80, for the entire set of documents from the following address:

Payments may be made in the form of cash or cheque by personal delivery, or bank transfer.  Instructions for bank transfer may be obtained by sending an email to procurement.ph@undp.org.

 

The abovementioned Bidding Documents shall be released to all interested participants until 11 August 2017 only.  The Bidding Documents shall contain all instructions on the rules, procedures, dates and other schedules for the pre-bid conference and opening of bid envelopes.

 

UNDP reserves the right to reject any or all the bids, waive any defect or informality therein, accept the bid and award the contract to the most advantageous offer to the UNDP, for and in behalf of the project.  UNDP assumes no responsibility to compensate or indemnify the bidder for any expense or loss that may be incurred for the preparation of bids, nor does it guarantee that an award will be made.
