The objectives of the first phase (desk) study include: - To provide an updated and comprehensive (and feasible as available research and data allow) analysis of Viet Nam economy’s productivity and competitiveness and their trends at more disaggregated levels and in comparison with other countries;
- To identify the initial bottlenecks areas for improvements and make initial recommendations for (as analytical inputs to policy debates on) increasing productivity and competitiveness in Viet Nam; and
- To identify remaining knowledge gaps (to identify the concrete bottlenecks and actions for increasing productivity and competitiveness in Viet Nam) and make recommendations for the empirical survey and other research and policy dialogue activities in the second phase of the research program.
The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
