UNDP Vietnam seeks 01 International Consultant - Team Leader for a team of National Consultants on a Natural Capital Assessment in the Mekong Delta with a fo-cus on mangroves (25 days) and 01 International Consultant for GIS (15 days) (Ref. 1-170704).

The assignment aims to conduct a Natural Capital (NC) Assessment in the Mekong Delta with a focus on mangroves and associated coastal wetlands.  The assessment will aim to determine what assets and services nature provides, and how they can be best used sustainably. The important climate change considerations in the Mekong Delta will be duly integrated into the study.  Appropriate packaging and communication of this information will be used to inform decision makers on the benefits and values of natural capital stocks, and for enhancing opportunities and capacities for decisions on land-use that support a transition to, and implementation of, Vietnam’s Green Growth Strategy and the national commitment to the “Sustainable Develop Goals” and “Action Plan for Agenda 2030”. 

The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
