| Overview : UNDP Vietnam seeks 01 qualified national firm/institution for Support HIDS in development of an integrated model for analyzing and forecasting socio-economic development (Ref. 2-170904). The overall objective of the consultancy assignment (and other UNDP’s longer term support to strengthening capacity of HIDS in integrated socio-economic forecasting) is to (i) provide HIDS with integrated modelling tools and (ii) strengthen its capacity of forecasting analysis for delivering to the HCMC policy makers the good quality analysis of information and evidence in order to (i) understand and evaluate the impacts of external factors as well as policies of Viet Nam and HCMC on the socio-economic development, (ii) assess the options of actions and set of alternative scenarios of socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City for developing socio-economic development strategies, master plans and plans, budgets, making integrated policies and solutions for promoting socio-economic development in short, medium and long terms. The selection will be based on a competitive basis and will comply with UNDP procurement regulations.
