| Overview : The Lesotho SIMM Project is a collaborative initiative of the Ministry of Finance and private sector, and supported by UNDP that is aimed at catalysing inclusive and pro-poor growth by scaling up formal and semiformal financial services for low-income and rural population in Lesotho through mobile money. The vision of the Lesotho SIMM Platform is to facilitate development of a robust mobile money sector which stimulates inclusive growth and meets the diverse needs of Basotho, by encouraging access and adoption of mobile money for personal, business and government transactions as well as supporting knowledge, advocacy, innovations and product diversification, focusing on the bottomof the pyramid populations. UNDP is therefore inviting proposals from interested Innovators and business development service (BDSs) providers with the view to scaling up inclusive business models to support Financial Education, business management and mobile technology literacy under the Lesotho SIMM project. |
