| Overview : ***Please note: This notice is for two (2) Procurement Specialists - one each for Barbbuda and Dominica; you may apply for both, but please follow the instructions in the Procurement Notice attached*** Following the impact of Hurricane Irma and Maria, Barbuda and Dominica were severely affected with destruction of homes, roads, utilities and livelihoods. Whereas the specifics of the recovery needs in Barbuda and Dominica will be detailed following the Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA), there is a clear and urgent desire for a return to the islands by the residents, requiring rehabilitation of the physical structures including homes, schools and public/community structures and restoration of basic services. In this context. The purpose of this consultancy is to hire a professional who can support UNDP in its recovery efforts. |
