The Talent Development Unit (TDU) /Office of Human Resources (OHR) enables and fosters a culture of continuous learning and develops talent at all levels across UNDP. We design and implement programmes, processes, and tools to develop learning ecosystems, stimulate learning, catalyze innovation and create knowledge in order to improve individual and team performance.

We are launching a new thought leadership to extend the reach of UNDP’s thought leadership with governments, academia and private sector. 

The purpose of this procurement exercise is to hire a junior project manager to lead the project “Elevate” who, under the supervision of the chief of Talent Development, will provide programme management and administrative support to the project. The consultant will support the monitoring and reporting on programme progress, compile evaluation reports, provide clerical support to the team and other logistical support to the various leadership development programmes. S/he will engage with vendors and other teams within TDU and UNDP. 

The Junior Project manager will have the following key functions:

  • Create and technical requirements pertaining to project
  • Schedule and attend project team meetings, capture meeting minutes and document action items/next steps/owners
  • Follow up with action item owners on their assignments
  • Assist project manager with the creation of project roadmaps, track issues/risks and resolve roadblocks
  • Deep-dive into technical specs to ensure technical standards are met
  • Provide consolidated project reporting
