Overview : Dear Sir/Madam, In July 2019, UNDP launched its new People for 2030 Strategy which aims to transform the way UNDP manages its people. The Strategy identifies career management as one of the key challenges and opportunities that UNDP should address as a key priority in order to be able to attract and retain the best talent. With the objective of attaining a tangible improvement in the effectiveness of career management that would directly benefit both the organization and individual personnel, UNDP seeks to increase clarity and broader ownership of UNDP’s approach to career management and career growth opportunities available within the organization; to ensure more effective processes and tools for UNDP to identify and develop personnel for key positions within the organization; and to improve availability and quality of career planning and development support to personnel at large to increase success, engagement and long-term employability.
