Overview :

UNDP’s Access to Justice, Security, and Human Rights Programme responds to this by supporting the Judiciary of South Sudan; the Ministry of Justice; and the Ministry of Interior, including the South Sudan National Police Service and the National Prisons Service of South Sudan, the Law Reform Commission and the South Sudan Human Rights Commission to increase access to justice, strengthen security including law enforcement and promote human rights in South Sudan as enablers for sustainable peace and development. 

In continuation of UNDPs unwavering commitment to support capacity building of justice chain institutions and promote the Rule of Law and respect for human rights, the program wishes to partner with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and Community Based organizations (CBOs) to implement activities that strengthen the rule of law and promote the respect for human rights in the Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

The key objective of the RFP is to identify an Implementing Partner (IP) – whether civil society organizations, (CSOs), National Non-Governmental Organizations (NNGOs), and Community Based organizations (CBOs) with operational presence in Northern Bahr el Ghazal state to do implement activities that enhance the rule of law in the state by: 

1. Strengthening the justice chain institutions to deliver accountable, effective, equitable, and gender-responsive services through:

2. Enhancing equal access to effective and fair justice services for vulnerable people particularly women, girls, and SGBV survivors.

3. Supporting the implementation of community-oriented policing in all the six counties of Northern Bahr el Ghazal.

4. Identify existing gaps in the access to justice and security for the most vulnerable communities and make remedial recommendations to the concerned authorities.
