The Vietnamese marine economy sectors of tourism, fisheries and aquaculture, oil and gas, and maritime transport and ports are estimated to contribute to 20-22% of GDP. However, threats to ocean health in Viet Nam include habitat fragmentation, degradation and loss, fishing and other forms of overexploitation, climate change, and pollution, including marine litter.
UNDP Viet Nam is seeking for 01 international expert to provide technical assistance for the implementation of interventions on marine spatial planning and integrated coastal management. The objective of the proposed collaboration is to mobilize international expertise to support marine spatial planning and integrated coastal management through an integrated combination of knowledge exchange, capacity building, and technical support.
