Product: A series of 1–3-minute Social Media videos showcasing project results in selected municipalities across Libya completed under UNDP’s Local Peacebuilding and Resilience project

Topic: UNDP is seeking a Videographer to produce Social Media videos showcasing initiatives under UNDP’s Local Peacebuilding and Resilience efforts

Deadline for deliverable: 1 December 2023

Background: 

UNDP supports Libya's transition towards peace, economic recovery, and sustainable development to help the country get on a more robust development path by supporting local authorities to restore essential services delivery and livelihood opportunities and promote peaceful co-existence. This video initiative is part of the Strengthened Local Capacity for Resilience and Recovery Project funded by the North of Africa Window of the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Stability which contributes in addressing the root causes of irregular migration and displaced persons in Africa (EUTF – NOA). The project is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government.

Videos will be created to showcase success stories resulting from the activities implemented under the project within the areas of basic service delivery, construction work, peacebuilding and economic recovery activities. This will include interviews of beneficiaries, local authorities and partners. The videos may also focus on ongoing activities.

The materials will be edited to regional and thematic videos under guidance of UNDP’s Communications Analyst of the Local Peacebuilding and Resilience project. Upon completion, the videos will be distributed on the website and social media channels of UNDP Libya and stakeholders.

Potential filming locations:
Tripoli, Benghazi, Sebha, Kikla, Ubari, Tawergha, Al Brega,Tobruk, Al Riyayna and Jufra.

Final delivery:

1: Filming of project locations:

·       Overview of municipalities’ strengths and potential.

·       Impact of projects completed by UNDP’s Local Peacebuilding and Resilience project.

·       Interview with beneficiaries, local authorities, and partners.

2: Video editing:

·       Editing the conducted material to prepare 5x 3-minute YouTube videos (regional and/or thematic)

·       Prepare social media versions of each of the videos:

o   2-minute versions for Facebook

o   1.5-minute square version for Twitter

o   1-minute version for Instagram
