Scope of Works

1.       STRENGTHENING LOCAL CAPACITATES FOR RESILIENCE AND RECOVERY – SLCRR project

 

The project “Recovery, Stability and Socio-economic Development in Libya, Phase 2 (RSSD II) – Baladiyati” (within UNDP’s Strengthening Local Capacities for Resilience and Recovery) is funded by the “the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for stability and addressing root causes of irregular migration and displaced persons in Africa”. It is implemented jointly with AICS and UNICEF aiming at supporting local authorities in Libya to respond to the many conflicts and human mobility induced challenges that negatively impact people’s access to essential services, sustainable livelihoods, social cohesion, and community security.

 

To respond to the many challenges people in Libya are facing, UNDP approach is to help the local authorities to restore security, essential services delivery and livelihoods opportunities putting the country on a more robust development path.

 

a.     Project description

 

The project is the Rehabilitation of Meeting Hall at Fezzan University, Libya, located in the city of Murzuq at the faculty of Economic. The project focus to provide a modern environment for meeting, conferences and discussions organizations by the university and other local authorities.

 

b.     Beneficiaries

 

This project will benefit all Municipality of Murzuq ,university of Fezzan and non-government organizations.

 

2.     Location

 

The project is in the city of Murzuq at  University of Fezzan: (25.910769,13.918707).

 

3.     Building/ Construction description

 

The project targets rehabilitate the Hall  which consist 120 sqm hall, small kitchen  and toilets.

 

4.     Works brief

 

The Rehabilitation project includes civil, plumbing, sanitary and electrical works. Below is the important and summary of the required works, for more details refer to BOQ, the work shall include but not limited to the following:

 

a.      The contractor must fulfill the QA/QC together with project time schedule.

 

b.     The civil part of the works includes but are not limited to general cleaning, demolishing of Aluminum partition, (external plaster), Painting Works( internal and external), ceramic, marbles, and lighting system, as indicated on the BoQ.

 

c.      The plumbing, sanitary works include but are not limited to ceramic hand wash basin installation, Wcs, faucets, piping, electrical water heater, water tank and installation of pump, as indicated on the BoQ.

 

d.     The electrical works include but are not limited to Led lighting, lighting switch and sockets outlets, as indicated on the BoQ.

 

5.     DURATION OF THE PROJECT

 

The estimated duration of the project is 60 (Sixty days) calendar days from the site-handover date.
