INTRODUCTION
The Provincial Service of Economic Activities is the organ belonging to the Council of State Representation Services in the Province, which in accordance with the principles and objectives, executes policies and strategies in the areas of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Industry, Commerce, Tourism and Fishing in the Province of Cabo Delgado as whole.
The main challenge for this sector is to promote inclusive economic development through integrated intervention and to provide assistance to the key players in the province's economy, such as farmers, fishermen, traders, and industry.
The present term of reference represents a combined effort of SPAE and UNDP to address the need of Intensive Technical Training Program in subject of Resilient Agriculture, sustainable livestock practice that the Provincial Economic Activities Service intends to carry out with the direct support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through the stabilization program focusing on the districts of Quissanga, Macomia, Muidumbe, Nangade, Mocímboa da Praia and Palma. These activities are of vital importance at a time when we are witnessing the mass return of the displaced population to their areas of origins, thereby ensuring conditions and paving the way for re-establishing of livelihood and economic recovery.
UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. Helping countries develop policies, leadership skills, partnership skills, institutional capacities and build resilience to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is concentrated in three focus areas: sustainable development, democratic governance and peacebuilding and climate and disaster resilience.
The stabilization project is part of the Cabo Delgado Province National Reconstruction Plan (PRCD) and the Northern Mozambique Resilience and Integrated Development Programme (PREDIN) for a holistic and multidimensional response to the crisis in Cabo Delgado and the socio-economic development of the region.
