Introduction
As the United Nations’ lead agency on international development, the UNDP works in170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. The organization helps countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities, and to build resilience to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
Over the last 7 years, the UNDP Mauritius and Seychelles multi-country office has positioned itself as a key development partner, engaging with the Government, the private sector, and NGOs of the two countries to implement its socio-economic and environmental portfolio, as per the Country Programme Document (CPD) 2017-2023. Working towards poverty alleviation, social inclusion, gender equality and digital transformation, the Country Office’s core mandate also includes initiatives regarding climate action, sustainable management of natural resources and integration of ecosystem services approaches. Following COVID-19, the UNDP also mobilized resources to extend immediate support to recovery efforts.
As the CPD 2017 – 2023 is ending, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Multi Country Office is seeking qualified firms to undertake the drafting, copywriting, and designing of a publication in the form of a coffee table book to commemorate and illustrate the achievements and development impact of the UNDP's work over the past five years (2017-2023) in Mauritius and Seychelles, in line with the objectives outlined in the CPD. An interactive mixed media online version (web-based publication) will also be required
