Introduction : Country:   Bangladesh 

The objective of the Assignment:   

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Solutions Mapping, the National Consultant for Strategic guidance to capture grassroots innovation will analyze the extensive innovation eco-system of the country, identify the relevant stakeholders, channels and institutional mechanisms through which stories of innovations can reach enablers, and test those channels by capturing stories of grassroots innovations. The specific objectives of the assignment will be


a.      Develop a strategy/methodology/toolkit to identify and capture scalable grassroots innovation, otherwise overlooked by mainstream reporting on innovation

b.     Capture stories of grassroots innovative solutions to development challenges and the drivers behind it.

The National Consultant is expected to be experienced in their understanding of the local context in terms of social innovation, start-up ecosystem, entrepreneurial skills development, documenting stories on innovation, and should have good track record of working with/ maintaining networks with individuals and institutions driving and supporting innovation

Period of assignment/services: 55 working days over 04 months from Mid-October 2023
