UNDP IRH Management plans to perform an independent Seismic Vulnerability Assessment for the premises hosting its office building located at the KEY Plaza, Abide-i Hurriyet Caddesi, Istiklal Sokak No:11, Sisli / Istanbul.
The building facility was constructed in 2013 with 39 floors, including six basement floors (car park floors). United Nations Agencies, Funds and Programmes, including the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub (UNDP IRH) have occupied some of those floors since 1st August 2014.
Due to the current earthquake risk in the duty station, UNDP IRH management has decided to re-assess the office premises' Seismic Vulnerability.
In this context, UNDP IRH aims to hire an independent engineering company to perform a Seismic Vulnerability/Seismic Resistance Assessment of the above-indicated premises in the context of local codes, regulations, and structural resistance for the existent earthquake risk.
Scope of Work
The major activities expected to be undertaken by the engineering company are as follows:
· Building survey,
· Preparation of seismic hazard maps,
· Determination of concrete class,
· Determination of reinforcement,
