Climate Acts ion Pathways for Island Transport (CAP-IT) project aims to promote the urgent and inclusive transformation of the land and maritime transport sectors toward decarbonization. This will be done by accelerating the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) in support of the achievement of Samoa’s enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions for the energy and transport sector by 2030. As part of CAP-IT project, UNDP expects to acquire between 50-60 EVs and install private and public EV charging infrastructure with solar charging option.
This tender is seeking a suitable supplier that could undertake a detailed design of three solar carports based on the required dimensions, the number of solar PV panels to be installed, and Samoa building code requirements.
The main purpose of solar carports is to provide power for electric vehicle charging. ITM requires high quality for the system as it will also serve as a showcase for the Pacific region. The following document provides the minimum requirements for the solar carport design. The Contractor shall be certified structural engineer by Institution of Professional Engineers Samoa (IPES) and demonstrate a good understanding of Development Consent and Building Permit application process in Samoa. The contractor will be responsible for the provision of detailed solar carport design and drainage system including drawings, calculation notes, and Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
